Hi everyone! I just wanted to announce (sadly) that Snacky's Journal - Ep. 4 will be my last machinima for the forseeable future. The reason is that I have just been signed to direct an animated feature film, which will make it impossible to work on any side projects. I think I will be able to finish the Snacky episode currently underway for next month, but after that I think my free time will grow really...well, nonexistant, so I am guessing this is pretty much the end of the machinima road for me, at least for now. But animation is and always will be my primary love, and I am extremely excited, and of course a tad nervous, about this opportunity. You see, I was fired from a feature film three years ago and have been trying to get back into the director's chair ever since - and now I am not only being given an opportunity to do so, but it is in a genre I love (sci-fi) and haven't been able to direct in until now. I better not blow it! :teehee:
I have really, really enjoyed being a part of the WoW machinima community for the past few years. It's been amazing to see everyone grow together and help each other and see our projects get better and better. It has been my privilege to meet many of you in person and you are all wonderful and talented people. I will definitely try to check in from time to time and see your awesome new films! I especially want to thank the video staff at Blizzard for all their community support, and the wcm.com staff for all their great work in promoting and encouraging WoW machinima. Thanks guys. I prefer to look at it as Snacky's Journal going on hiatus rather than the end, but regardless, that is awesome and I'm so very happy for you!

Yeah, hiatus for 2 years :( by then nobody will remember the show I'm sure and all of you will be doing machinima in 3d or something. :teehee:

Wow! That's great to hear Jun!
I'm sure many of us, including myself have been waiting for that break. Looks like you had it before, and losing it must've been devistating. It's good to see your getting a second chance. Your lucky, I would like nothing better than to do a feature film. Look forward to seeing it! |
