I'm running on a 9800 GT nvidia.
And im hooked up to a 1920x1200 widescreen monitor. So basically I'm looking for the ideal or "Standard" resolution people record their footage at? Also what is the standard resolution to export as? --------------------  |

There are no real standarts for machinima. Personally, I prefer High Definition. As you can see from your resolution, it's perfect 1080p Full HD, so you can capture at full screen. Export, well... usually people don't have such big screens and have limited hardware, so you can try exporting what you got at a smaller non-full HD, 720p.
