Ahem, since this wasn't explained at all ( ) I suppose I'll attempt to.

It was short, sweet, and to the point :D

Now wait a second. They make LOADS of money off those gambling establishments. Now they aren't quite what they were (obviously) but they do make tons of money off those things and get away with murder half the time.

I bet they could afford one hell of a thanksgiving.

I don't think I would let myself live if my only shot at making money was by freeloading on the gambling addiction of others... But I guess they could afford a hell of a thanksgiving ;)

we then proceeded to kill ALL the Indians and take over this while place for ourselves

Probably what I hate most about America...we came, acted nice to the greeting Natives, then a few years later, we have "befriended them" by cutting off their arms and forcing them to obey us, all we've given them back for that today is a few shitty pieces of land where they can host gambling establishments...

And we celebrate this all with thanksgiving...

Step 2:
Step 3: Profit!

I liked the armor set from the moment I first saw it, and I must say, you drew it just nicely.

I downloaded your tutorial on camera panning and used Autostitch to do the shot where the camera switches fast between APE and Barnaby before APE pours the potion on him :) Thanks a bunch for that, it is such a cool tool.

Yeah, for color correction, I just use the RGB effect and fiddle with it until it looks good to me :P Doesn't always come out perfect, but at least I am using it now, hehe. I've also switched from simply using the Blue Screen key to the Chroma Key, but even with it I still find faint blue or green outlines that I just can't seem to get rid of without turning the file transparent. Ah well, it is hard to spot, unless you are looking for it.

As I said before, After Effects has a nice way of keying out the fine lines as you can see in Andrew Kramer's tutorial.
As far as color correction goes, you seem to have it right, just use your eye and see what looks best.

Wow, that was great! As always I love the dialog and the characters are very cool. The sound effects and mixing were also very polished. I thought the compositing of the key and other elements were done very well, it's cool that you're doing such things without After Effects even. Hmmm, what would your movies look like if you had After Effects? It's nice that Autostitch is getting more use in the community as well. Great job!!

Well, After Effects would open doors to stuff like better keying and better color correction...

I'm sure I could always make it a project to create a logo for you guys, but I probably won't finish it ;)

Not quite done, but I'll finish it up tomorrow, will also render both camera scenes out and put together in a video editor by this weekend.

This is really great! I watched it a few times, even frame-by-frame to form some new techniques. I'll probably be talking about this in the next podcast episode. Great job to everyone involved with this video!

Liked the "unprofessional cameraman" who kept on zooming in on explosions in the background

But enough of the sensationalism. Quite honestly I think we've reached the point where these things are not big problems. 35 killed? By any standard, a tragedy, but what is that compared to the various wars going on, or the death toll from history not 200 years ago? The inquisition and crusades?

As a few people have pointed out, 35 dead is a good day in Iraq =/

to tell the story of someones life...or to say "WE HAVE A NEW WINNAR ON THE MOST KILLINGS! WHO IS GUNNA TRY NEXT?!?!?!?!!?!?!!?" are completely different in my book.

"Don't you think it's a bit disappointing, that, as Americans, our record is only 33 killed?"

Just curious if anyone here is interesting in setting up an IRC channel for the forums, I'd be happy to help get us a channel on Quakenet.

The 2 programs are very different. One is a viewer, one is an editor. One pre-renders everything, one renders everything in real time. Etc.

In regards to an editor, its decent for being free however I'd prefer pretty much any other 3d editor program over it from Bryce 3D to Rhino to Milkshape to Lightwave. From what I've seen thus far.. most linux based apps have *horrible* GUI's.

Well, there's a script out there to import WoW Models straight into 3ds max, so if you're creating your own animations that's probably the best way to go, that way you don't have to worry about rerigging all the bones. If you don't have the budget for that kind of program, you could always download the trial, import the model, then export it to something usable by Maya, which has a completely free non-commercial download. Or, you could always just use GMax.
Don't think animation will be easy though, 3d programs tend to be very complex and take a while to learn even the basics.
