Howdy. In between episodes of River City Jim, I decided to whip up something like a brief machinima documentary, partly to test out new video editing software, partly to educate some people and partly to go against all the crap I get for my machinima being 2D. Though it is in documentary format, it still keeps up a comedic tone and should be enjoyable.

Sound like you'd like to view it? Well, here you go!

Hey thanks. Although this is just a quick video, criticism or suggestions would be gladly accepted.

Off of the NES, I haven't found a single one yet. But there is some cool stuff in the Other Channel.

Pretty sure the artists of Newgrounds has been doing "2D Machinima" for almost 10 years now? Except they call them Sprite Movies.

I've actually looked into that and talked to a couple of Flash artists from Newgrounds. Likewise, most of those movies are compiled using raw sprites and Flash animation- they aren't playing the game or capturing the footage. I basically see those movies as the upgraded form of sprite comics, but they are similar to a type of 2D machinima. Interesting.

Just a bit more 2D NES machinima. Not River City Jim, but Pizza Boy!

That was... a bit weird. Didn't understand a word they said. Except the "God, I f*cking hate you" in the end.
