Congrats Oxhorn!
Was checking out WeGame a couple weeks ago, looks pretty good and they really are putting up some competition for FRAPs.

QUOTE (Lawladin @ Dec 22 2007, 02:54 PM) *
Is there a command to enable/disable all UI in modelviewer?

[this doesnt have to do with totp, i know, the original question did though, which i found out already :P]

For recording you don't need to close any of the UI FRAPs records inside the interface so you just have background and character. If you do need to though just click the "X"s on each of the UI controls (they are on the top right of each control panel). To enable them again go to View at the top and then check which ones you want.

That was fantastic for your first machinima.
Damien Rice is excellent as well, so I loved the choice of music. The animations were a tiny bit jumpy in a few spots and as Justin said the characters moved sometimes out of sync with the background, that's a hard task though. I did feel it was missing a little splash of something to fully bring out the emotion of the song. But all and all good, I enjoyed it.

Just a note, you probably could have made the song louder as it was pretty low even when my volume was up a bit.

Looking forward to more from ya,

HQ YouTube Streams Coming Soon

Chen told me he expects that high-quality YouTube videos will be available to everyone within three months.

Sounds pretty good, although looks like they are having Stage6ish problems with the whole bandwidth thing.

Fraps works kind a strange, cause someone with single-core proccesors can record above that limit, but someone with the dual-core, can't do that. I'm confused )) But theoretically, single core max supported resolution is 1152x864, dual-core and quad-core two times, four times, or even bigger resolution.

I'm using a dual-core when recording at 1400x900 though. Confusing business!

I tried changing it to Full-Screen but it still looks rather shot so i went onto Fraps website n' looked at the requirements n i pulled this out of the hat

"Choosing Half-size will store the movie at half the resolution of the game screen. Full-size will store the movie at the same resolution as the game screen up to 1152x864."

so how would i get in game footage if i have a monitor that has a 1440x900 resolution? Any Ideas?

I record my footage at 1400x900, FRAPs version I'm using is 2.9.1.

I think the words like Raw, Bad ass, not for children etc etc fit this trailer well.
Loved it and looking forward to the movie.

Google? pfffttt... the tank is based on battlefield 2 but it is not a copy of anything else. And do you want to hear the story of the last guy that called me a noob? i think we will leave that for another time.

Firstly, I was calling Machinima101 (Tristan) a nooblet (jokingly), not you.

Secondly, after a little looking I found this thread in which a guy claims to have rendered these models: http://bf2.totalgamingnetwork.com/forums/a...hp/t-87229.html

Take a look at this picture taken from the thread:
http://www.users.on.net/%7Ebusterau/Render...ield-USTank.png

Now the funny thing is, the guy that made that post DID NOT actually make those, he stole them from the Fan Site kit EA released. (Download the kit here and see for yourself in the renders: http://browse.files.filefront.com/Battlefi...rowsefiles.html )

All you did was cut the white around the tank. So yes, I am in fact calling bullshit.

Have a nice day.

For the viewer it would be nice to have an easy to use lighting tool, exp: "Campfire" light (not a model) then be able to position around the character and/or scene.

One option for people who don't have recognizable characters could be to skin a tabard with the author's logo on it.
Most of the logos are our avatars.

Another way I've heard of people doing it, is to render the video out uncompressed and then use VirtualDub (http://www.virtualdub.org/) to go to Divx or Xvid (Xvid works for stage 6 too).

Couple links to tutorials for Divx/Xvid rendering:
