I hear that Ian Beckman will be there.

I will be.

I'm kinda wondering if anything is going down the night before the Con...

Hiyas! I don't think I am going to BUY a Blizzcon ticket this year. Now, if someone was to GIVE me one, I might go :) I will probably go meet people down there for dinner and such, however - if you recall, I live not too far from there.

Yeah this was done for a CoH contest. It had to be under 4 minutes so I packed in as much as I could >< (the actual version submitted had all credits stripped off it). Re: Dr. Horrible - I made the first CoH vid with this character over 2 years ago, waaay before Dr. Horrible, so THERE! :P

As for work - well, it kinda took a left turn :( long story, but I'll get back up on the horse again soon I hope. So yeah back to the machinima for now.

You deserve to win, hands down. Kicks mine right in the ass.

Anyway, great work. Hope to see you at the Con. Sedrin, are you going too?

Hate to break it to you, but I believe a project like this is already underway. Not to say that another one shouldn't be in order.

Hi Guys, after watching all of the great different machinima vids out there, I decided eh why not.

I'm 22, have a music studio in Brisbane, Australia, and really want to get into the whole writing music for machinima thing! I write a lot of orchestral works more than anything else, but I do a few other genres as well. Check out my website for some samples if you'd like -- www.invasion-inc.com (and look under 'productions').

Really look forward to working with you all, let me know if you need some original music!!!

Mikey

Your music is absolutely fantastic.

Well, I must say that is one of these most unfriendly sites I've ever visited. Which is too bad, cause it's not a bad place. But I posted a suggestion on the forums there and got my head bit off. Even the developers from the site itself blew me off...

I guess I'll look elsewhere to post my stuff.

Strange because this site and a few other Machinima related sites I have been too have all had friendly people who are very helpful. This is the first time I encountered any hostility.

I found your thread and I can say that yes, you have the hates.

And I thought that book was an OJ spoof not a Hitler spoof.

It was both. I neglected to mention OJ because I am stupid.

I would suggest for all intents and purposes, using a cardiod or shotgun microphone of some sort. I am using a decent microphone, and I am surprised how well it works, a Sterling ST-55 Mic. It captures pretty great material most of the time and gives you a nice sound without the need for real dialogue editing (i.e. it makes my life easier). If you really have NO idea what I am talking about, I would recommend visiting a Guitar Center and asking for some basic advice and quotes on cheap prices.

Removing the P's can be done with what is called a Pop filter.

Let me know what you think. Hopefully it makes you laugh. You will hear Drewbie in there too make a small cameo. ENJOY!

I prefer to look at it as Snacky's Journal going on hiatus rather than the end, but regardless, that is awesome and I'm so very happy for you!

Yes, and you can do it under The Grind. I can picture it now....

"SNACKY'S. JOURNAL. EPISODE. 5"
Starring Drewbie as Snacky and Macheath as Angie.
Macheath says "Why am I always the girl? OH SWEET I HAVE BOOBS."

Uhhhhhh... Can you please be more specific?

In Model Viewer, you only get to play ONE animation at a time. So, for example, you record 3 things: your character walks in, your character stands and turns, and your character waves. When you edit it together, you will have to CUT it together so it matches and it looks fluid. If you don't, it will jump and it will look like a cut.

Jun is saying match the animations by being quick and nimble and selecting the ONE animation to connect the previous ANIMATION. (i.e. selecting emote talk 1 for a human, then when it ends, immediately select emote talk 2 so it looks like its all ONE animation.) That way, it won't be cut together funky and it will look very fluid.

I record each animation, including a lot of standing and then cut it together where it matches up the best.

As far as question 4:

In Premiere, you can set up sequences within sequences. Say you need to zoom in slowly to a character when he is dreaming, but he talking to himself. Simply animate it in one sequence, then you can manipulate that sequence on your main timeline just like you can with any other motion.

November 1st: The Day After Halloween. Have you ever wondered what Halloween ghoulies and goblins do for the rest of the year? Like the Headless Horseman, they probably work another job in order to survive in a world where they can no longer do there job - scaring people.

Oh yes, I think you will like it more if you watch "The Office."

Enjoy!
