What Kind Of Microphoen Do You Use? Options

I have some cash laying around and I think the last thing I need to get before starting my various movies I have planned it to upgrade my mic. I have a decent headset, but when I record with it I can still hear a subtle "buzz" in the Background (nothing else in the room is running) and it also doesn't do as nice of a job blocking out "air burst" (when you say strong "P's" for example) as I would like.

So just post with what kind of Mic you use, don't worry about the cost, I just need some ideas as to what I should be aiming to get.

I would suggest for all intents and purposes, using a cardiod or shotgun microphone of some sort. I am using a decent microphone, and I am surprised how well it works, a Sterling ST-55 Mic. It captures pretty great material most of the time and gives you a nice sound without the need for real dialogue editing (i.e. it makes my life easier). If you really have NO idea what I am talking about, I would recommend visiting a Guitar Center and asking for some basic advice and quotes on cheap prices.

Removing the P's can be done with what is called a Pop filter.
